Construction on this manor house commenced long before the birth of George Washington and survived the turbulent times of the French revolution of 1789-1799 and reign of Napoleon Bonaparte 1769- 1821. The structure has been completely restored with heating in every room.
The Pyrenees are ideal for mountain biking and walking and there are white water rafting and rock-climbing centres. Flying, gliding and micro lights are available at several small airfields. There are numerous riding centres, and treks can be taken through the mountains accompanied by experienced guides. There is a good choice of golf courses throughout the region, easily accessible and inexpensive.
