Welcome to Guanaja! The island of Guanaja is located approximately 40 miles from the coast of Honduras. It is one of the few remaining unspoiled islands in the Caribbean. Guanaja is one of the three main islands of the Honduras Bay Islands. It is the most undeveloped of the three islands.
It is only eleven miles long and three and a half miles wide. The shoreline of Guanaja ranges from white sandy beaches to rocky cliffs that over look the ocean. The tallest peak in the island chain is located in Guanaja, reaching 1400 feet. Guanaja is the only one of the Bay Islands that has waterfalls. One of the waterfalls is located just a short 15 minute stroll from the beach.
The other is a more challenging 45 minute hike, but the view is well worth the effort. The mountains on Guanaja are an ideal place for hiking and nature watching. There are no major roads in Guanaja which adds to the charm and uniqueness of our unspoiled island. Basically, all transportation is done by boat.
The island is surrounded by beautiful reefs for snorkelers and divers of all experience levels. In fact, Guanaja is located along one of the largest barrier reefs in the world, second only to Australia. The offshore waters are teaming with tuna and wahoo. There are also sailfish and dolphin which can be caught. The flats of Guanaja are loaded with schools of bonefish. You can see large schools of bonefish throughout the day, every day. It has been reported that Guanaja has the best bonefishing in the world. You can also catch snook, tarpon, jacks, and permit. There are also a number of small, relaxing restaurants and bars to visit and enjoy on Guanaja.

There are two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, and laundry room. Again, the bathrooms are located in the bedrooms creating two master suites. One bathroom, however, can be accessed through the living room for extra guests. The wrap around deck is the perfect place for enjoying the views of the Caribbean Sea and the mountains of Guanaja. TWO STORY CABANAS

They have 3872 total square feet (including outside decks) and have approximately 1568 square feet of living space. The bathrooms are located in the bedrooms creating two master suites. These vacation homes are also being sold “turn key” including furniture and appliances.
